I live in a 70's apartment building and suspect it is the plumbing here. I enjoy liquid plumber but it say NOT to use it in the toilet...why can't I? I hold no idea why it keep plugging up so often...save for the plumbing is old and the building is not ably maintained. Any suggestions bar a plunger (I don't have one)?
A plunger is the only bearing to go. You should other have one on mitt regardless, as you can never tell what may begin. The regular old cheap plunger isnt going to work economically either. My plumbing is even elder, as my house was built surrounded by 1895, and has extremely outmoded plumbing. I got the really big plumger to be exact the accordian type. It really pushes everything out of the way and get the water flowing. Your tenant needs to receive a snake in at hand and clean everything else out as ably.
The liquid plumber is too caustic for toilets and can damage the porcelain. Since you are renting, you would enjoy to replace the toilet if its is damaged by chemicals.

Answers: Drano doesn't work. bring back a plunger. there is a possibility near is something like a comb or a Q tip stuck within the throat of the toilet. this can only be fixed by taking up the bowl and removing the hold-up.
