Please relief diagnose sprinkler system problem.? Our front yard have 6 sprinkler zones. When it is time...

Our front yard have 6 sprinkler zones. When it is time for zone 6 to stop and zone 7 to start within rear courtyard, 6 remains on. It does not shut off and remains one thru adjectives of the rear patio zones as okay finally cutting sour when the whole system shuts down.
Suggestions on how to repair this would be greatly appreciated.
Answers:    sounds to me resembling you have a discouraging valve for zone 6 my friend.

when diagnosing these problems, other start with the timer first,
1. when the timer go to zone 7 and zone 6 is still running,
check to see if the timer is still sending out power to zone 6 as well as zone 7.
if so, replace the timer. (this doesnt really appear too often, but it can happen)
2. if the timer checks out okay, track down the spigot.
you may need a telecommunication locator.
they valves are contained by the green boxes in your courtyard. depending on who put them in, they may be speckled out around the yard, or they may be adjectives in one spot.
3. when zone 6 is lifeless up and another zone should be coming on, test the spout for zone 6 for power.
4 if you get power to the zone 6 spout when another one is supposed to be running, the wires are touching somewhere. (pretty rare too).
5. if no power, later take apart the stopcock and replace it, or replumb a whole spanking new valve and this will fix the problem.

honest luck and hope this helps
All fitting answers above - it can be any of these reasons. I a short time ago want to get a bit more into the diagnostics.
If you switch wires from Z6 & Z7 you can view if you're getting the same problem contained by the same zone or a unusual zone. If it's the new zone, consequently the issue lies with the timer; desperate relay, bad algorithm contained by the programing. If it's in duplicate zone however, the issue is with the spout - although I wouldn't start with dirt contained by the valve as that would probably hold the spigot open indefinitely. Could be sticking solenoid, short to another tap in the box, etc.
