My pilot light on my vaillant boiler keep going out and i have to switch it rotten then on again to neutral it. it will work for a while then merely goes stale. its a faily new looking boiler not a combi i dont cogitate but it has a switch which i basically flick off later on and it will light up, but consequently i notice it as get a bit cold and it has gone out again. any concept?
Answers: Most newer Vailant boilers are made with any hot surface ignition or spark ignition. Both types use flame recognition. If the burners stay on and the boiler heat enough to make somebody`s day the aquastat, then tries to relight when the aquastat call for more heat and will not relight you probably will hold to replace the ignition control.
Depending on the type of installation and what controls your boiler has, you could hold other problems that will cause this... ie. boundary switch, flue dampner, gas control valve.
I would suggest have a pro test your system.
A right company technician can test it and make a contribution you a repair estimate.
either the electodes are not firing when thry should or you hold low gas pressure
