Painting issues a niggle surrounded by the d¨Ścolletage!! Needs expert proposal, Please? I need to paint my home to be precise more than 100...
I need to paint my home to be precise more than 100 years old. It is build of clay, sand and saline. My guess is that there is in a minute foundations. The walls gets intensely clammy when it rains, and majority paint just come of in pieces as big as a a4 broadsheet. What kind of paint, bonding gooey, sealer can I use. I would prefer if I can get products available within South Africa, as some of the products used overseas are not available here.
Answers: It sounds like you own a moisture problem more than a paint problem. You might want to consider using a concrete sealer on the outside of the house to keep moisture from getting into the walls. Wait until you've own a long dry spell though, the last piece you want to do is to trap moisture inside the wall. I would then use a brush to remove any loose fabric inside the house from the walls and try using a paint designed to work on concrete, something that will penetrate into the wall. You could try using the concrete sealer inside as powerfully as outside, most likely you would be capable of paint over it using a good oil-based primer and next whatever paint you would close to to use. Your best bet would be to consult with a drawing contractor in your nouns who has deal with similar problems. I'd suggest you at most minuscule offer to reimburse for his time.
If it was surrounded by the USA I would try epoxy paint. Here in the USA I enjoy used it on concrete shop floors, fiberglass boats, asbestos shingles, wood, metal. Works for me.
