Oven cleaner destroy to linoleum - any fix? My friend got up within the middle of the night and...

My friend got up within the middle of the night and found ants have invaded his kitchen. He reached for ant spray, but, still partially asleep, he grabbed the oven cleaner instead and begin spraying. In the morning he saw that the oven cleaner had turned the linoleum flooring brown similar to the color of refried beans, as though someone had painted it. Is within anything he can do to reverse or help repair the prejudice? I'm thinking it's burned in and there's nil to be done. I hope I'm wrong!
Answers:    There is nothing short of replacing the vinyl floor that will repair the spot. Hopefully he owns the home because if he does he can report this to his insurance company and they will cover the floor replacement smaller amount his deductible. If he is renting this home and if he has renter's insurance, he can record a claim under the liability portion of his policy and they may cover the vinyl floor.
