Answers: I one-sidedly don't like the smell of curry and have a similiar problem with some tenant of mine that were fond of curry. when they moved out I hired a painter and he come in and scrub the walls and applied primer that he said would help near the smell and he painted the walls for me.
It seemed to work as the exotic tenants never complained or even mentioned and the smell seem to go away after a while (took more or less 4 weeks to get the apartment rented again.)
I've other found that a good few pints of Lager works wonders beside Curry. Pour beer all over your house and see what happen.
