Answers: There is a lot of reasons that your nouns conditioner could not be blowing cold, but if it was low on freon before at hand is no reason why it couldnt be low again if there be no attempt to fix the freon leak.
Basically, freon should not leak out of a properly installed a/c part, sometimes the installer will install dryer filters on the outside unit, the element will run good for a while but eventually the dryer will leak since they are just designed to be on the unit for a couple days then removed, if thier is a dryer filter on your outside section it needs to be removed.
But theres a bunch of stuff that can be fixed and mosts leaks can be fixed so really unless your component is 20 years old you shouldnt need a investigational one, the only problem you will have is finding an honest a/c tech that will fix it for a acceptable price..
Verdugo: Do you maintenace the ac unit? Do you change the upper air filter every three months? Do you wash the coils every year before summer,, Condenser coil, and evaporator coil? Everything wishes to be done periodically. IF your ac unit is not more than 15 years old after dont replace it. Have someone find that leak and repair it. Don't just enjoy someone put more freon when it needs it and have him come once a year to put more freon on the section.
