Answers:    If you are worrying something like the sprinkler system, you must live in a heat climate. I don't see the advantage of turning stale the shut off valve unless you have a horrendous dripping problem. If you quit the shut off valve open, you won't own a problem with pressure build up. I've found that if you haven't closed a shut past its sell-by date valve for a while that they are a undergo to close. If it's old, you may expire up replacing shut off valve the night beforehand you go on leave. If someone is picking up your mail or rag, maybe they can purloin a run through the house.
