I have an grease furnace and twice in 7 years it have filled my vault with gooey smoke/soot. Once was worker fault (technician put surrounded by wrong nozzle) Once it was unknown why. My examine is: Is there a device that have a smoke detector/CO detector that will shut off furnace if a condition is detected? Cleaning up after such an incident is a nightmare that I want to avoid surrounded by the future.
Answers:    Go to FIREX on the Internet. Type SMOKE ALARM surrounded by the search box. You can find a 501 relay that works near their smoke alarms. It has 5 amp contacts at 120 VAC, so could be used to interrupt power to the furnace control circuit.
Yes almost adjectives industrial buildings heating systems enjoy built in smoke detectors to shut the system down if smoke is detected. Call a repected HVAC contractor.
