Not ample hot dampen for even one shower.? We recently moved into our first house and hold yet to net...
We recently moved into our first house and hold yet to net it through one shower without running out of hot hose. I tried everything I could think of. The furnace is a 40gal electric heater. I've tested both elements next to an ohm meter, they checked out fine but I replaced them anyway to be sure. Both thermostats were working properly. Voltage be correct at 240. I took the cold line past its sell-by date and checked the dip tube. It was fine. I drained the container, it didn't help. I even replaced the tap in our shower faucet. Nothing worked. Fed up I give in and bought a unknown water kiln. It is a 40gal electric heater as all right. Guess what? We still have equal problem. To be on the safe side, even though it's brand tentative, I tested all the elements, thermostats and so forth only in satchel. What could possibly be the problem. At this point I'm 99.9% sure it's not the water furnace after all. Please minister to.
Answers: Does the shower water unhurriedly cool off or does it suddenly turn from reheat to cold?
How long does the water temp coppers take?
Might be the shower faucet/mixing stopcock...
EDIT
Have you check voltages at the heating elements when they're initially energized? After 10-15min run time?
appropriate shorter showers
