I've just moved, and found out that the apartment upstairs make a terrible racket. The floorboards squeak, and it's like the neighbor is gonna fall down on my head. I've complained to the manager, who doesn't seem to be vastly willing to fix this. How can I minimize the rumble on the ceiling while i wait for some behaviour from the landlord?

Answers: mmm you don't. You enlighten the landlord that the apt is painful in this condition and you can't live beside all the hubbub. If he doesn't fix it you file a complaint and stop paying rent, You don't hold to pay rent if the apt is unendurable.
