Do you inevitability to fire the ignition switch? Sometimes the flame will go out if the gas go off and requests to be restarted. The boiler WILL sound as if it is firing up, but in that will be no heat.

Answers:    Place your hand either side of the motorised tap, and see if it is cold on both sides. If it is then it could be a slate on your pump. If it is hot on one side and cold on the other side, then the motorised stopcock is not opening and that have a fault. work your method back to the 2 big pipes coming from the boiler and one should be hot and the other one should be cooler. If they are both cold, then your boiler most important burner is not lighting up. Plumber required then.
