Answers: everything you own mentioned as well as everyone else is great, but why not own a professional home inspection done????? Some of the things they check for is heating and cooling variances, proper slope on the sill of your window (the brick angle), whether or not your smoke detectors are battery powered or tough wired to the house. The heating and cooling from one bring to a close of the house to the other is allowed to be within 3 degree of each other, but ive see new homes where on earth it was 8 or 9 degree (BIG DIFFERENCE). Brick angle of less than 10 degree will barely drain river which could run back below or into your windows. Check the sear rating on your AC section. minimum where i live is 14 (this info is found most commonly on the side of the unit). No thing what, do not sign and move in if at hand are issues that are found. Issues are not rare and neither is the builder recitation you he will issue a punch list to his sub-contractors and they will "come pay for and fix it", you might wait longer than you would close to. Walk through with blue cassette and mark respectively and every little thing that looks strange or wrong. also on the appliances and especially on the ac element check the manufacturers date. repeatedly times the builders """" 1 year warranty"""""" might state 1 year from manufacturers date not closing date and the element or appliance might already be 6mos. or a year old
