Need assistance on inborn gas issue...? ok, my gas was accidently turned off yesterday (Friday) the gas co....

ok, my gas was accidently turned off yesterday (Friday) the gas co. expected to turn off my neighbors but did both of ours for some reason. ok so I call them and they won't come til Tues afternoon which is BS
I turned it on at the meter (the valve is inline with the pipe) but nil is flowing inside
is there another valve somewhere?? where on earth and what would it look like??
I'm not waiting til Tues for their screw up
relief people
thanks
i cannot vouch for you so i will not reveal any trade secrets here

BUT

they do a few things excluding just turning off the stopcock to prevent potentially hazardous circumstances from occurring.

You may blow yourself and/or the neighbors up to say the least.

if "they" be at fault, i cannot imagine them putting you stale 'till Tuesday. So. Cal Gas Co is extremely thorough and i just can't imagine them "Making A Mistake".

only my humble opinion
If the valves are unfold, then go to the appliance furthest from the meter, and remove the sou`wester on the drip leg. This will bleed the air out of the line and allow the gas to cram the pipe again. Keep the cap in your appendage, and as soon as the gas comes out put the cap on and properly tighten it. Then, working back toward the meter, do equal at each appliance. If you are not absolutely sure how to do this, DON'T ! Natural gas systems should not be worked on by folks who don't know exactly what to do and how to do it. The shut-off should be at the meter. But when they shut you bad, such as for non-payment, they will lock the valve contained by the shut position with a bolt-like device. They would not have vanished it so it could be easily turned back on because that would beating the whole purpose. And you would not be able to describe if anything was flowing inside the pipe or not.

You probably just do not know how to re-light your hose heater. I am presuming you used a grinder with a metal cut-off blade to remove the lock.

Next time payment your bill on time.
Answers:    near is almost ALWAYS another valve in the street by the curb to every house... There is no possible path for you to turn this on because it takes a "curb key" which is a slottet key on a 5 foot pole to get the valve. I would HIGHLY recomend waiting for the gas company to return your service. Here in Pennsylvania you can be charged near theft of services if you turn it on yourself...
provided what you say is true.you probly turned the spigot on to quickly and locked out the meter. Turn it back rotten and wait till you hear a clunk in the meter and turn it stern on SLOWLY. call back and describe the gas co that you smell gas and think theirs a leak they will be out previously Tuesday
