my steps are concrete and are broken badly i dont really want to turn through the trouble of tearing them out within order to fix them subsidise how can i redo them and trademark them look good again
Answers: First, chip away any loose pieces of concrete on the steps, etc.
Make a plywwod from from 3/4" righteous one side firply, or MDO plywood. MDO is medium density overlay. it's what professionals use for forming.
Attach the form to the obverse of the riser. you can use tap con concrete screw to hold it on. The holes will only be give or take a few 3/16" in diameter, so they are efficiently filled after.
Get some concrete bonding 'milk' and cover the surface to be repaired immensely well next to the bonding 'milk'. Mix your concrete and pour it into the frame. It is very exalted that the frame or formwork has NO gap, or the concrete will flow down and leave jagged edges and lines. if this happens, permit the concrete harden and next grind off the broken up lines,etc., so the face is smooth.
Remove the forms, verbs up the overspill and uneven lines beside a chisel or grinder, and you're good to move about!
Also, round over the edges of the step as the concrete starts to set up. this way the eadge won't chip and break away. if you enjoy a really big hole ot corner to repair, drill and screw in slap cons, about 1/2" from the finished echelon. These screws will deed as pin anchors.

A lot depends on how damaged they are. If we are discussion about missing corners or chipped edges, repairing beside concrete may be difficult. The reason individual the thinner the coat, the less staying power the patch will hold. Have you thought of using the steps as a base of covering of pressure treated wood or cedar? Lay sleepers using construction glue and nail the unusual wood to them. Sleepers are 2x4's on there side. It may be a long permanent status fix and nicer looking.
