I live in Los Angeles, and am thinking of attending a Trade School to cram Electrical work. The school is approved by the state, as well as by highest companies in the industry. Would you reccomend choosing an Electrical trade over a Business Degree?
You need to do some sole inquiring and decide what it is you approaching to do, if you get into an industry you don't resembling, it doesn't matter how much money you label.

BSEE Telecommunications, I helped designed and brand name PABXs work. I was righteous at finding and solving problems.

If you are thinking in the order of becoming an electrician, the best way to move about is with a league apprenticeship. http://www.laett.com/

Now, first let me update you that Electrical work is hard, but rewarding. At the termination of your apprenticeship, you will be making around $40.00 an hour.
A Business degree have its advantages also.
It all depends on which grazing land you feel comfortable beside.
I got a level in psychology from Long Beach State and become an electrical contractor. Go Figure.
Answers:    It really depends on what you want to do. My dad and younger brother are both electricians. I worked as a matter handler for a electrical contractor for summers while i was within college. I decided that the trades weren't for me. I go the college route and I'm an accountant now. You will manufacture good money and within LA the weather is nice when you have to work outside.

A business amount is good even if you desire to go into the trades. I read an article a few weeks ago give or take a few a lot of ethnic group with degree who were going into the apprenticeship program to become electricians. The author be saying that technology is playing a larger section in the electrical profession and a scope can give you a leg up. If you considered necessary to someday start your own electrical contractor business, that degree would come surrounded by handy as well. Both option you are choosing between are good option. You need to see what you would close to to do more. If you are close to getting your degree, I would finish that up anyway. It will be suitable to have and you don't want to excess the time and effort you've put into it so far.

Good luck.
