Need oblige getting flimsy bulb out. It is screwed tightly into the plinth.? I can't get the desk light bulb out of the socket....
I can't get the desk light bulb out of the socket. As I turn the lightbulb the entire base turns near it. The "holder" that it is in is too small for my hand to get surrounded by, so I cant stop the base from turning while I turn the pale bulb. How shall I get it out?
There is no risk for breaking the bulb because it an sparkle saver. The covering on it is glutinous plastic, I'm very sure it will not break.
use a pair of pliers to hold the dais while you turn the bulb,first make sure you unplug the storm lantern and or turn off the wall switch.wear a duo of gloves in defence the bulb does break,once you have a polite hold of the base,try turning it,if it does not work and you can obtain to the wires,take the total socket out and replace it.

is turned off from the chief electrical panel, as well as at the switch plate. The fixture may obligation to be replaced. I am not clear
as to exactly what type of fixture you are speaking of. If the base is segment of a ceiling fan insubstantial fixture, some of these (the base)can be replaced depending on the type of fan desk light.

Answers: if the bed it is screwed into turns also i would think, short seeing it of course, that the socket is broken. is it an expensive light? if not try using a flat screwdriver stuck down beside the foot to hold it still. you might have to hold someone else hold the lamp assembly. and even though you dont conjecture the bulb would break i would recommend that you were gloves of some type. preferable leather. if it does break while you are trying to unscrew it the shards could cut some of the tendons within your hand. not perfect. if there is room i enjoy also had some fixed success using plunger nose pliers to take the base of the bulb.
