check that the valve are all fully approachable on your water space heater and going up to your shower, valves break next to age and it could be a bad stopcock is staying shut and causing the hose down to not get through.
Also what type of hot wet to you have and is it one and only the shower thats not getting pressure or is it all hot hose?I
If you have a elder boiler (like 1930's) that has a pump and the boiler is also used for your heat - it could be that the pump is just gone as the pumps call for to be replaced every few years - even though the pump dont pump water to the shower (shower is pressurized) - a discouraging pump causes nouns leaked into the boiler/ dampen system and reduces marine pressure.
Could also be mineral build up in the pipes - how behind the times is your house? and do you have public dampen or well dampen? mineral build up is more likely to come to pass if you have in good health water.
If this is a more recent entity with the loss of pressure and its simply happening within the shower then its probley the faucet - perchance the mixing valve or slit valve (faucet)
have failed , since thats one of the cheaper things that can be repaired as a DIY item - well thats a perfect place to start by just replacing the faucet.
