I was vacuuming the liv. rm when I have to stop for a sec. When I went vertebrae after a minute or two, it wont turn back on. The outlet works. I changed the belt not to long ago and it doesn't enjoy that burning smell. What should I do?
Answers: Difficult to answer this , esp' as I don't know if your in the UK or USA.
I will assume you are contained by the UK? (I'm not sure all Americans hold electrics)??
You seem enduring the outlet is working .
No burning smell so the motor must be OK.
In the UK each plug have a seperate fuse, check that first, just conveyance it with one of like peas in a pod value. While you hold the top off the plug a moment ago check none of the wires in the plug own come adrift.
The next step is to check the cable from the plug to the switch, if you dont enjoy a tester very difficult, but to a short time ago do a visual check, unplug the vacuum, check connections are OK at the switch on your vacuum.
If they look OK check the connections at the motor, if they look OK it could be the carbon brushes on the motor.
I want I had never started this answer!!
For me this lot would give somebody a lift about 10 minutes to solve, (with a tester) !
I know we own a lot of 'rip off' merchants out within, and not many places disappeared that want to bother with domestic appliance repairs!
I can individual suggest you
shop around find 'free estimates',and get a few of those.
