My sump pump ran for the first time ever. And for the first time ever have water within my baement. Enough to get my carpeting showery (somewhat soaked) Should I be worried? What could be the cause?
Answers: The grounds obviously be the torrential downpours. It raised the wet table up enough for the hose to have no place to walk until it goes down. I would use a showery vac for your carpet and aficionado to get it dry. I don't give attention to I would be too worried. This happened to us too, We have a creek run beside us, that didn't flood us but the water table be just so big that it couldn't' help but formulate it's way surrounded by. Only we had 2 foot of marine and found out our sump pump was on the blitz:(
