My tub won't hold hose, purely keep draining?

Answers:    If you have a tub beside the small lever for a drain release under the spigot, afterwards RXing's answer is probably your best bet, unless you're very handy. This requires taking the frontage plate w/lever, off the tub obverse and pulling the stopper up and out of the tube. There is a threaded rod, to which the stopper, (usually a cylinder of brass or plastic about 2 1/2"- 3" long), is attached. The stopper should be capable of move up and down the threaded rod, by twisting one way or the other. You may enjoy to try one direction and reassemble to try the drain, and disassemble again if that didn't work. It's not a lot of fun, but not rocket science any. The rubber stoppers work just great though and are sort of cheap.
get a rubber stopper and plug it. easiest piece you can do and the cheapest.
