Every five minutes or so it'll just flush...I'll hear it from the upstairs. Does anybody own an idea of what this could be? It's so obnoxious!

Are you sure it is flushing or is the sound you hear is that of the reservoir refilling again. Many times when the flopper does not form tight or the chain is loose and get caught under the flopper, the commode will bleed water into the bowl slowly. When it reach to almost empty the river will turn on and refill the container again. This happens almost every 5-10 minutes. Remove the lid and watch the hose level for a few minutes and see if the sea is escaping, check your chain from your fiddle with to the flopper make sure it is tight when it is contained by the down position. If water escapes, replace rubber flopper or adjust rubber flopper by pushing down the flopper around pipe.
