This is the stupidest qustion I've ever asked, but I don't know what to do. My toilet is clogged...but there's nothing within the toilet bowl (or whatever you telephone it). I tried sticking the plunger in nearby but of course it doesn't seem to be to do a thing since the problem is apparently deeper. So, what is one article I can do here to unclog my toilet?!
You could turn to your local Home Depot that rents tools. Not all Home Depots rent tools, so do some research online first. Anywho, be in motion there and rent a 25-foot sewer snake OR (if you're likely to remove the toilet) a 50-75ft. sewer snake. Then ask the guy at the Tool rental to explain how to use the tool and what (if anything) you would need surrounded by addition.
It's cheaper than hiring a plumber, unless you don't thinking about spending $$$.
If the dampen in the bowl isn't too soaring, get a container, fill it next to water from the tub, and dump it into the bowl. Trust me.
Toilets are a series of valve that are created by the shape of the pipes inside the toilet itself, gravity, and the water within there. probability are you have something within the S trap inside , you could try to snake it out , or they have a entry out now that cleans near the force of water, but if that don't work you any got to transport the toilet out and try to get the intention out of the trap or call the plummer .
If you don't enjoy any specialized tools, get a telecommunication coat-hanger, stretched it out and push it into the hole and make sure that it is moved weighty around the U-bend. Try to break through the clog to dislodge the blockage.
You can also buy a proper pipe cleaning wire, or use chemicals to clear the clog.
Buy a "closet auger" at Lowe's or Home Depot. They cost anywhere from 15 to 45 dollars depending on the one you get. The cheap one works simply fine, I have have mine for 15 years.
It's easy to snake the trap contained by the toilet and they have a plastic housing to protect the toilet bowl. It take longer to go catch the tool from the garage than to unclog the toilet. It's what a plumber will charge you 200 for.
Believe me, it's so much easier than chemicals. The clogs occur contained by the trap itself and any other method is just not too bright.
