My swimming pool is 5 years old and I've never have this problem before. Lately near is a metallic smell and taste to it. I took a token to the pool store, and all they said be it needed conditioner. That worked for two days, then rear legs to the bad smell. I shocked it, per their instruction, next back to the bleak smell in two days. Also, it loses its nice blue look, but take on a paler color. Any ideas?
Answers:    It sounds similar to you went to Leslie's. I'm not sure if they try-out for copper, but it sounds like in that could be a mineral presence. There is another common produce for an "odor" emanating from the pool and its call chloromines. I'd suggest taking a water example to a Shasta Pools retail store and ask them to test for "total chlorine" as resourcefully as free chlorine. They also test every pool for copper, but manufacture sure to voice your concern about the metallic smell/taste.
I would try the other type of chlorine. The one usually used ends within (hydro something) The other begins next to "T". I use the second. They sell it at Academy.
