My stihl fs 85 make a dinging noise(ie desk bel) when at rot (no rotation on shaft)..no loose parts..thinking?

What happen is the clutch is not spinning fast adequate to engage the clutch drum, but lately fast plenty to hit it lightly. That strike is what you are audible range. Its nothing to be alarmed almost. It happens on adjectives the Stihl trimmers.
