My roast and a/c will not come on within "on" or "auto"? i have a seperate element for upstairs and downstairs. downstairs works...
i have a seperate element for upstairs and downstairs. downstairs works fine.upstairs a/c and heat will not come on.must be something that turns both of them on. within unit within atic i checked switch behind cover,the one that works ,a red night light flashes when i push it in manually beside cover off.the other one that doesnt work the red lantern doesnt come on when i push the switch.switched thermostats-not it.unit will work when i manually push contacts within outside unit. it sounds approaching something is not telling it to turn on--maybe from thermostat? is their any breakers that could enjoy gone bad? none tripped! please supply any help. thankfulness
Answers: Are these digital thermostats? If so then could be the battery are dead within the one unit. Also check your circuit breakers to see if anything is tripped. There are some times a fuse box outside hard by your unit, could be one of the fuses inside it if you hold one.
try this, open the compartment where on earth all wires are located at hand is a little box beside four or six maybe eight wires and are divided surrounded by equal parts you could disconect it, and try to smell it if smell like fire, could be it, you want change it for a trial one, but before you do this, cut the power to that section and use proper tools to do this job righteous luck
