My riding mower have no spark and its not the spark plug. Is in that an confident or cheap approach to fix this.?
Answers: The first thing I would check would be the form switch, The seat switch usually grounds out the spark, within could be a neutral safekeeping switch on the transmission, clutch, or blade engagement lever too. Check those first, next the coil in the engine.
You didn't utter what motor you have. Assuming it is a newer engine minus points it could be the ignition module. It also could be that the ignition module ground wire is touching something. This will ground the coil and you will enjoy no spark. Disconnect the ignition module ground wire and see if you enjoy spark. It will be a small black wire coming from lower than the engine cowling and it goes to the ignition switch. You can remove the ignition module and it can be tested at a small engine repair shop.
