A man at home depot told me to dump vinegar down the garbage disposal, and after run it through after a bit. For a persistent clog he said i might own to disconnect the disposal from the pipe and use more vinegar.does this sound plausible? would at hand be any reason why i could not of late put liquid plumber within the disposal? HELP
i can't believe the answers here...

never pour chemicals! it states that on the disposal instructions!

likelihood are if you have a two compartment sink and one side is draining and the disposal side is stopped, the problem is fiber stuck within the baffle tee of the tubular <pipes>. if you enjoy a single compartment sink, you will have to "undo" the tubing to the disposal and remove the fiber.

if both sides of the sink are stopped, your drain is stopped up and it have nothing to do near the disposal.
The outlet of your disposal is probably a nouns with two small bolts or screw. There is also a compression type union where on earth the outlet connects to the drain from the sink. If you disconnect these two points, you should be able to find to any clogs that are in the disposal.

If you look at the picture on the site below, you will see a piece of pipe call the "discharge tube" that is piece I am chitchat about.
Answers:    Good site shown by Oil Field Trash. It could be in the discharge tube or the P-trap. I would lately remove the P-trap as it is compression fittings that you can either remove next to your hands or using culvert lock pliers and unclog it there. The discharge tube is sometimes a straight length in the past it hits the p-trap - that's where my clogs other occur.
you can use Liquid Plumber. and le it sit awhile.
However this product is caustic so put some cardboard over the first and your eyes protected whhen you go to run the river again ot turn on the disposer until you are sure it is cleared..
