I just bought and get a PUR dispenser. It says that I have need of to change the filter once every 6 weeks...and that would be on Feb 14. But right very soon it is not filtering. Why isn't it filter? I never use hot water near it. Is it possible my water is in reality SO "dirty" that the filter is gone already. It doesn't have the little feathery on it to tell me. Is in attendance some way I can check it or should I purely take it apart and run some cold wet through it?

Answers:    Some water contains more minerals than others. the filter is probably clogged up. Most filter are disposable so just adapt it out.
