Last night I be doing my laundry (the load be more on the higher side, so may be it be overloaded) After about an hour when I checked on it, I notice my laundry room was bursting with smoke and in that was a distinctive stench of some mode of electrical burn. The wash cycle however have completed. At first, I didn't think it's the washer, so I removed few clothes, which by the process were soaking damp and started another full cycle. After about 10 minutes, I again notice smoke, same electrical burn odour and also noticed it's not spinning anymore. It's a Maytag standard washer (nothing fancy) Is the motor adjectives? Would it be cheaper to get a spanking new one than to repair this one?
Answers:    That's nothing spanking new with Maytag. Motor burned up
resourcefully there's a good randomness its just the belt on your motor but if your incapable of replacing it yourself and the washer is more than 5 years old I suggest you catch a new washer
