I have a Lawn-Boy walk-behind power mower, and it's in the order of eight years old. The first time this happen a week ago, my lawnmower popped and smoked, and my spark plug came bad. Now it keeps coming loose. I replaced the spark plug, but keep doing it. Any help would sure be appreciated! Thank you.
Answers:    Please do not nick offense to something so simple, but are you putting it back surrounded by finger tight or are you snugging it down with a wrench?
You should use a socket and ratchet to put it hindmost in and snug it surrounded by good.
If you are doing that already, after you got me. Perhaps one of these behind the times timers can tell you what the problem is,
Good luck.
The spark plug is comming stale from the wire, not the thread, right? Get some pliers and tighten the metal hook that clamps on to the spark plug. The opening on the wire hook is a bit too open. Then, to oral exam it, move it to the sides to check how much movement you get. How do you know when is tight satisfactory? Is when you cannot pull it out near your hand next to little force. Safety tip: Don't try to put your finger on a loose connection to the spark plug, when the prairie mower is running. Remember it shoots a spark. Shock hazard. It would with the sole purpose hurt for a little while and windy... If this is not the problem, Then the thread is almost gone on the engine. What you wanna do is put electric tape on the spark plug ONLY on the threaded cubicle. Then get the wrench and tighted that spark plug. Thats adjectives. Good luck. E-mail me a picture of it.
