It stopped blowing cool air. At first we replaced the battery in the thermostat and it worked fine blowing cold for a few days consequently back to "room temp" nouns. My husband and his father went up and the enthusiast spins but the compressor comes on then within a matter of second up to a minute it shuts off. Could this be a desperate capacitor, a bad compressor, or some other issue we are overlooking? Want to be a moment or two prepared before we hail as an HVAC guy out Monday.

It sounds close to you need a shot of nouns or freon, Yes you do need to telephone call a pro. You have to be licensed to switch freon by law, or they will blame you for the ozone hole surrounded by the sky and try and make you compensate for it as if that would do anything to fix the problem, you could try and put the thermostat temp down really low and feel if cold nouns comes out or not, if you need freon after you will have thaw smelly air coming through the vent. If you have a friend that know a friend who's friend works on AC units, later give them a hail as asap before they are booked up.
