My home inspector missed something big!?
While doing some plumbing last dark for my kitchen my friend and I noticed a big crack within a drain pipe from the bathroom. I had my husband run some hose down in the bathroom, and sure ample *GUSH*. This is not a little slick, and the crack is very visable. My home warranty does not cover the pipe because it is within a crawlspace - go figure- so what i can do in the region of the inspector? shoul di call and try to win my money back, or even try and seize them to fix it? This is my first house and I have no theory about what I can and can no do.
Answers: Attempt to negotiate any a refund, or a service exchange from your home inspector or the company. If adjectives else fails, threaten to write a desperate article about them and transport it into a business circular.Good luck, and congrates on the house.
Unfortunately, inspections usually have a clause contained by the agreement that the inspector cannot be held liable for anything that they might have missed. Go posterior and review your paperwork from your inspection, I bet that there's a clause to that effect.
