Answers: As another poster have said it is most likely the anode rod contained by the water furnace.Due to electrolysis the anode disintegrates instead of the metal in the hose down heater. After a while it get very porous and is a completely good place for microbes to grow. These bacteria a unanimously not harmful to you but they do create a thoroughly bad odor.It is a simple item to replace.I find it hard to beleive that in attendance would be that much smell coming back through the drain system to result in a problem. If threre was a problem beside the drain you would smell it all the time.
Is the smell from the 'new' hose down when filling the tub or from the drain after emptying the hip bath? I think the problem could be that the drain is connected directly into the soil pipe to some extent than into a hopper head& only a shallow stamp trap fitted below the bath consume. If this is the case you involve a deep trademark trap on the bath squander which will create a better seal from the smells. These smells could also be entering through the hip bath overflow for the same principle which would be present whilst you are bathing the child.
