Closing the door manually and resetting the pull-down arm allows the door to open automatically but later is again unable to proceed. At other times when lowering the door, it will start to lower, budge about a 1/3 of the path and then reverse itself. The arm must later be reset to get any undertaking.
did you adjust the torque
to adjust T turn it to sensitive. it should try to close but will not move about down.
turn it just till it starts going down.
stick a 2x4 within its path.
adjust it of late till it raises when it touch the board and stays down next to it moved.
that is for safekeeping for if some was surrounded by its path
form sure sensor is lined up and tight
if it is not tight it might move and clear the unit some point is in its narrow road wile door is trying to go down or stay down.
you will see by adjust it to your structure it will work fine
keep conducting tests over a period of time.
and you will know the part.
You necessitate to increase the open force on the put money on of the powerhead. If it is a screw drive with the code-dodger reciever it will be surrounded by the front under the pallid cover. All other Genie/Overhead Door models are found on the back.
If that does not work you necessitate to reset the limits. Different for respectively opener. I can donate you instructions if you post what model it is.
It is not the photoeyes/ safety sensors if the door closes. They are within to prevent the door closing on anything. Not to stop it opening.
Answers: try cleaning your sensors. if that does not work they may need to be replaced
Check the door for level also.
