My gas boiler go blow!? The pilot light go out on my boiler so my b/f went...

The pilot light go out on my boiler so my b/f went to switch it support on and it made a hugh bang. We thought it exploded but the pilot street lamp came on after that but it be flickering orange. Any hypothesis why it could of done that. The gas has be turned off
What type of heat do you suggest?
Answers:    the ashen burning pilot light indicates any low gas pressure or a dirty pilot. the big bang could enjoy been from the gas tap opening and not lighting the gas right away from the pilot not ignite the burners immediately. hold a service tech come and clean the burners and pilot

Ours would take home a loud Bang noise when it be time to change the filter.. Check the filters within your home to see if they are dirty, if so, you need to renovate them.
