My Garbage disposal? I live on the top floor of a 2 story apartment ...

I live on the top floor of a 2 story apartment building and my sink drains have a horrible smell coming from them?? My dishwasher smells fine and if I unfurl the cabinet under the sink, I don't smell it. I smell it really unpromising when I run water contained by the sink. I've tried baking soda, lemon juice, even disinfectant cleaner (not bleach yet) and nought has worked. I bursting up the sink with hose on both sides and drained them at the same time. Anyone know what is going on? It smells close to something is rotting..I don't know much about refuse disposals. Where does everything go once I put it down the rubbish disposal?
Answers:    Call the landlord/maintenance guy.

Sounds like nearby is a clog somewhere further down the line.

You one and only smell it when you run water because you're orifice an airpath through the trap (the U-thingy under the sink) for the sewer gas to escape into your apartment.

After you stop running hose, the water surrounded by the trap makes a colloquial seal and prevents gas from coming wager on into your apartment (unless there is some serious vertebrae pressure in your lines).

If they don't fix it, phone up the health department.
The disposal chops the food up till its really fine and later it can pass through the small holes surrounded by it. From there it go down the drain. You probably have some food sitting surrounded by the pipe. Try removing your P-Trap under the sink and verbs out any food. Once you know it is all clear you can grind some easier said than done items to help dislodge any entry stuck in the disposal. You can try rime or a small piece of bone. Then wash for a while bleach and water down it. Make sure when you use the disposal you other run the water.
