One of my garage doors will not close properly in cold weather. It starts to close and later gets so far and later goes subsidise up. Have to keep pressing the button and repeating the procedure until it finally go all the path down. We tried lubrication last year when it happen but that didn't help. Any other suggestions? It's incredibly time consuming to try and leave the house when you enjoy to wait for a unstable door. It's only when it's intensely cold that this happens.
Answers: Try a PTFE (Teflon) spray lubricant similar to "TRI FLOW TEFLON SPRAY". Most oil or grease base lubricants will thicken up in the cold. Most garage door openers hold an adjustment for down force. You may need to increase this adjustment for a time bit to ovecome the harder operation in the winter.
I have the same problem adjectives I did was when i closed it, I put a bit of pressure down on the door as it be closing and all of a sudden it works immediately
