Answers:    If you are in the USA most gas utility companies will come out and relieve to re-light gas furnaces. They would rather know that the appliance is undisruptive than risk having you do it yourself. You might ring up them and ask.

If you don't have one follow the other poster's guidance and install a carbon monoxide detector too. That is wise suggestion and they can be found at a home center store for about $20.00 and since they run on battery it is a simple installation.

honestly unless you want to blow the block away - call a pro. you enjoy to set up things to relit it and its obvious you don't know what you doing - please ring up someone who does - the lit should not go out - you may own other issues
