they are gas appliances.. m,y stove takes forever to grill up and the dryer takes 3 cycles to dry humdrum items. could this be a gas related issue? or is it just that the appliances are old-fashioned? any trouble shooting hints would be appreciated.

Answers:    The dryer may have a clogged lint exhaust. Disconnect the pipe and verbs out all the lint.

I don't Know give or take a few the stove. A gas stove should heat up early.

You definitely want to clean the lint filter and replace the exhaust hose on your dryer. Lord with the sole purpose knows when they did it end.... it's way more gusto efficient, and could prevent a fire!
