My dishwasher/sink is back up, can you help out!?!!?!? About a week ago my boyfriend noticed that kitchen sinks weren't...
About a week ago my boyfriend noticed that kitchen sinks weren't draining unbelievably well, so he took a plunger to one of the sinks (side lacking a garbage disposal). After a few minutes of plunging marine ran out of the dishwasher and onto the floor. Since later our dishwasher won't drain and keeps going on for an inch and a half of hose down on the bottom. We hadn't had issues next to our dishwasher before this.
We tried a mix of vinegar/maybe baking soda/hot sea that his mom recommended and bought a snake and used it on the pipes (took all 25 foot of it). Now the two sink drains seems to be working better, but the dishwasher still won't drain. We've used cups and bowls to remove dampen from the dishwasher and every time it will just steep back up.
What can we do?? We really don't want to wage $ for a plumber. (Who does??)
Answers: Under your sink there should be a (black hose) from the dishwasher, you might try disconnecting it and making sure it is not plugged. If your sinks are draining OK consequently that tells me its contained by your discharge line from your d/w. If the row is not plugged then try running the dishwasher beside the hose disconnected but in a bucket this will produce sure the pump in the d/w have not gone out.
