My Cub's hydrostatic transmission quit working surrounded by forward today. It works in reverse newly fine. I disengage the hydrostatic transmission to move the tractor around and when I reingaged it, forward would not work, but reverse does.
Does anyone own any suggestions???????????

Answers:    Check the hydraulic fluid plane, it may be low. If there is a filter surrounded by the hydraulic system, it may be plugged.

since your unit is hydrostatic it is a hermetic trans and doesnt need tranny fluid or shouldnt call for tranny fluid since it reuses it. my first question to you is how out-of-date is it?? and then how recurrently do you use it? I get alot of call about the Cub Cadets at Lowes Service Advantage next to these units they enjoy been getting issues something like the gears wearing out. you might want to have a tech purloin a look at it. if you purchased it with within the past two years you will still be below mfg warrenty as Cub Cadet puts 24mos parts & labor on their units as do most outdoor power equipment mfgs.
