My CH and HW aren't working, my boiler is flashing F L, what does this denote? ...
Yep! FL=Flame lockout. If you be aware of confident enough they try and verbs the fire eye yourself. But I'm talking next to gas powered boilers, it's commonly where you can see the flame. It usually screw right off. Then squeaky verbs the eye and place it back contained by place. You may have to walk to your controller where you see the FL and see if there's a reset. Now if it's grease powered, then you get me. GOOD LUCK! If it still doesn't work then phone up for help.
FL is flame lockout! With oil burners, especially, what happen is the photo cell gets a build up of carbon and soot, so it doesn't sense the pilot night light. Call a sevice company to come and check it out. With natural gas, within could be an issue with the gas train.

Answers: might be the flame lockout on your boiler.if it is oil fired it will hold a photo cell that registers the burner is producing flame if the cell does not register a flame it automatically locks out the boiler and prevents fuel being sprayed into the combustion chamber
suggest you hold it serviced
