last September 2007 I have a new pole barn built. When I cleaned my pole barn 3 weeks ago and swept adjectives the sand off of the floor due to have a gravel/sand driveway, all the cement be crumbling exposing huge pocks and coming off where on earth there is a stone within the cement. I called the builder that I compensated which included the cement and he said he would call the cement guy and the cement guy told me its because of the chloride brackish , what a joke. I told him if he doesn't replace it I will see him contained by court as I think the cement guy used low trait materials. The floor of my 4 yr old garage doesn't enjoy pock marks and crumbling so why would it occur to my new pole barn. I consider the guy is trying to BS me as I'm a female and he probably think he can get out of it. I'll see the guy within court before I settle one dime of this, Could I please have guidance? thanks
You are beyond doubt 100% right. The slab was not installed correctly and near insufficient materials. Your concrete will wear with time however it usually remains nice looking for at smallest 10, more if you seal every year as you are supposed to.
It's tough to read aloud exact but if there be too much water added to the mix when it be laid ( some finishers add too much marine to keep it from setting too hasty and it is easier to spread) that would account for it. or it could be a unpromising batch . Either track the contractor is responsible, as I understand the amount you rewarded him included the concrete. Check your states licensing authority for contractors. Sometimes nearby are avenues there for resolution or file a complaint.
Freezing and thawing will produce heaving and cracks not chaffing
Answers: if your concrete be not treated then any type of saline on it will cause it to crumble it will in actual fact just put away away at your cement sounds like it be not treated but the contractor that did it should know that it should be done so i guess it's still his fault
