Hi all,
My push mower get rained on for nearly 3 days straight. I went to cut the grass today, and logically the engine is wet. It starts, but runs for something like 5 seconds and shuts rotten.
Anyone see any potential problems, or should it be OK after it dries?
Answers: Could be water within the gas. Look in the reservoir, water will look resembling a "blob" on the bottom of the tank. The "blob" won't flow through the pick up tube smoothly and tends to lead to a blockage. Clean all the wet out of the tank and it should run.
There are 3 wants to make a motor run. Air Fuel and spark. I'd be prepared to bet you have a small amount of river in the gas and can be gotten rid of by taking out the bolt holding the bottom of the carburetor bowl .
