Hi On the worcester 240 combi rsf I get a reading of 19.6 volts dc on the pale terminals on the modureg is this encreasing the gas supply to the burner for hot hose down and then the over boil thermostat trips and a reading of 13.6 volts dc for central heat and the gas is then cut rotten at the gas valve are these the correct voltages and should the voltages drop to condense the gas flow the boiler runs for about five mintues
It is more likely the pump, or expansion vessel, but you should not be touching this unless you are corgi registered, it is also time to be shifting this boiler.

no to theory test the amount of gas going to the burner you need to do a burner pressure trial which is done by corgi registered engineers

we pay alot of money every year for our registration and training burner pressures are set and will be checked every year on the service.

it may not be something as simple as you have a sneaking suspicion that to find and you will spend alot of money changing every division that is suspected. Without proper reading and tests the engineers on here will one and only be able to guess at you breakdown.

give a local corgi registered machinate a call acquire him/her to quote a call out and investigation charge over the phone at most minuscule then if it is something simple that you can money you can but you'll know what it is...

All the best
Answers:    as hnd say,you need to check the pressure, not the voltage, what exactly is scheduled with the boiler?are the radiators hot?reheat?cold?are you getting any hot water?check the pump for voltage, check the thermistors for resistance.if the overheat is tripping,it sounds approaching a problem with circulation, could be sludge inthe system.modulators rarley step faulty.even though you suggest the pumpis running, the propeller can become detached from the motor so it would appear that the pump is running.drain off the boiler, remove pump team leader and have a look.
