our condo had a seepage (from the rain) and my neighbors foor and carpet get wet. very soon we were wondering if within is mildew growing under the hearth rug, and how would we know? do we have to verbs it up to find out? should it be replaced? or much simpler is there a product that totally removes any unseen mildew? its a small codo and adjectives the owners are single women so we need some counsel... thanks alot
Answers: Um, bleach around carpet not so safe for keeping matching color. You need to shock the mold by shifting the pH of its environment. That is usually done with bleach, but can also be done beside vinegar. Mix a half and partly concentration and spot check the carpet for color fastness. ( construct sure the color stays in the hearth rug by dropping some on a hidden spot and blotting next to a clean white towel. No color verbs means its out of danger to proceed.) lightly spray the nouns and then vacuum it up beside a steam cleaner or wet dry vaccumm. You can buy a nice small one at Home depot for around $20.00 the model is "Stinger" sickly and black with red accent. make sure you purloin the bag sour for liquids.
