I have a pasture mower that has a transaxle and be wondering what type of lubrication to use- and if anyone knows where on earth to put it. I don't see any drain plug or anywhere to put it! I looked in the almanac and it doesn't say anything more or less it!
Answers: 80 or 90 w gear oil. Why do you regard it needs lubed? I own never tried that. Just usually pump white lithium into the grease fittings. If there is a plug, it will be that square head bolt at the bottom of the rear axle, but I guess you know that.
Bronco is right. Most are hermetic and don't need servicing. If it is one that have gears(not hydrostatic) it is packed next to grease like tiller bearing grease. Unless you bear it apart it will never need lubing. I own a sears automatic and it say that it is factory sealed also.
