Lost hot hose down pressure from electric wet space heater? I wanted to fix a leaky faucet so I turned the knob...
I wanted to fix a leaky faucet so I turned the knob on the dampen heater to turn stale the hot water. The knob/valve kept turning, both directions, lacking the normal resistance you get the impression when turning on or off a spigot. It did cut the hot water bad. But now it won't come vertebrae on. I've tried turning the valve both ways and zilch. When I turn the hot water faucet on surrounded by the house it will run for a couple of seconds up to that time dwindling down to nothing. I tolerate it sit overnight hoping it just needed to repressurize itself but that didn't back.
Any ideas of what could be going wrong?
Here's a picture of the stove:

(The knob/valve I was discussion about is the blue one on top)
Any backing is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in mortgage.
Answers: The valve separated on the inside, if you want the confident button; turn off the electric, turn rotten the main hose down valve, drain the stripe, disassemble the valve at the nut since the body, take a duo of needle antenna pliers and take the guts out of the stopcock, retighten the valve body, be sure to fill up on the heater previously turning the electric back on.
your tap is stripped out, call a plumber
