we have a wearing clothes amount of insulation on the loft floor. there is no insulation on the loft ceiling. Our boiler is also located surrounded by the loft. During winter, the loft is pretty cold. However, i am not sure if this affects the heating surrounded by the house. Do i need to invest contained by installing insulation on the loft celing? Or am i ok

Answers:    Something like 2/3 of boil loss is through the roof. If your loft is heated space, then yes you would do resourcefully to insulate. R30 insulation (20cm fiberglass) is a minimum. This is one case where on earth more is definitely better, and extra insulation commonly pays for itself in two or three years.
